Canadian Nationals Approaching

I know that we are already getting hyped for the Cleveland WYYC in August, but let us not forget that there are some other big competitions coming up.  One of those that is especially important up here in the north is the 2016 Canadian National Return Top Championship (we are not legally allowed to call them yo-yos up here in Canada), which is rapidly approaching on March 26!

This is an important event for the Canadian competitors because the winners will be directly seeded into the 2016 WYYC, so if you are serious about trying to reach world’s and you are a Canadian then this is the competition that you need to be looking forward to.  That doesn’t mean you have to be a Canadian to enter the Canadian Nationals.  Non-residents can still compete for prizes although only the Canadian throwers are eligible for seeding into the WYYC.

Even though the Canadian Nationals are still over a month away, the registration deadline is much sooner.  If you want to compete you will need to register by March 7.  Make sure you read over the Canadian Nationals website for all of the rules and event details.  Oh, and this year it is being held at the Ontario Science Center, which is a really great place to visit even without the yo-yo competition.  Make sure you attend if you can and cheer on the Canadian competitors!
