Back in October I mentioned the the Phoenix, a rather large and fun looking yo-yo being developed by GN Yoyo. Well, since then I have been following its development and chatting with Paul Zorovich of GN Yoyos often to keep tabs on it. It makes sense to chat with Paul about the Phoenix since it is designed as his signature throw.
Paul was kind enough to share some new pictures of the Phoenix with me yesterday and also give me some additional information about the release of the GN Yoyo Phoenix. For those of you that have just joined our program and haven’t yet heard about the GN Yoyo Phoenix, it is a rather large rounded H-type throw that uses a significant undercut to help keep the weight down. Check out the specs and images below to see what I mean (and for good measure I included the original profile shots from last year).
It sounds like the Phoenix is expected to officially launch towards the end of March or beginning of April depending on how fabrication goes. The target price is $120 USD, and the GN Yoyo Phoenix is slated to ship with the following colourways: yellow/pink acid wash, green/silver acid wash, red with blue splash, and purple with orange splash. Oh, and if you are curious, the Phoenix is being machined in the US.
