Unspoken Yoyos

Last week on the Throwers subreddit there was a quick announcement regarding a new yo-yo project dubbed Unspoken Yoyos. This project is the collaboration between two friends, Justin Bui and Noah Burrows, and so far they have two yo-yos in the works.

Justin was kind enough to send me some extra details regarding Unspoken Yoyos and some pictures of the two yo-yo prototypes. The first prototype is an undersized yo-yo machined from 6061 aluminum, shown below with the clear undercoat anodization. Justin describes this prototype as his current “go to for when I want to just relax and have fun.” shown below with the clear coat anodization.

The second prototype is a midsize yo-yo that is meant to be a more powerful player. This prototype is shown below in blue and red, and is machined from 7068 aluminum. As Justin mentioned, this is the current yo-yo he use “when I’m working on more serious tricks.”

Both prototypes are still undergoing testing and so the designs and specs are not yet fixed. Nonetheless, Justin was kind enough to share the current specs with me, which you can check out below. Just keep in mind that the final specs may differ somewhat. Final production of both yo-yos is expected sometime in 2017. The brand doesn’t yet have a website but you can keep an eye on the Unspoken Yoyos Instagram for future information.
