About a month ago I noticed a post on Facebook by Jamelle Kent, the brains behind the Radical Seas Yo-Yo brand. Jamelle was showing off some pics on the incoming Radical Seas Oracle, and so I reached out to him to find out if he would send me some information on his latest yo-yo. Fast forward a month and I now have some information directly from him about regarding the Oracle to share with all of you:
“The Oracle was a copper bi-metal idea, deciding to sub out different metals to show character of materials. The final design ended with a flush pressed ring that varied in material, restated design aesthetics, and made the cup standout. The finish is a light bead blasting with 180 mesh media. The densities of the metal play a big factor in individual performance of each model, and it’s pretty cool to feel.
Brass first run colors are “Emerald”, “Scuba Blue” and “Radiant Orchid”. The run Copper is “Midnight Blue” and will be a limited run with a few of them featuring art from a contest winner. The team edition is Butter Yellow and is reserved for the team and a few others. The Engraving art is by Pat Condon!”
Jamelle also mentioned that he will be hosting some contests very soon and so everyone should make sure to follow the Radical Seas Instagram (@Radicalseasyoyo). Keep an eye out for the release of the Oracle in May (if all goes to plan for Jamelle).
